BlackVault has launched a book of mythos inspired monsters on Kickstarter which includes monster tactics and new horror rules for 5e.
The BlackVault team have twenty years in RPGs and publishing, with credits on The Doctor Who RPG, Scarred Lands and D&D 3e. If successful, Eldritch: The Book of Madness will be followed by Aether: The Book of the Summoner, The Book of Blood, and Chaos: the Broken Mirror. The Kickstarter has 32 days to reach £5,000 and you can pledge or follow progress on the campaign page.
Eldritch: The Book of Madness draws inspiration from the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft’s creations. Geek Native has secured a better look at the four creatures teased in the Kickstarter, and you can see them below.
Starting at 96 pages, growing with stretch goals, the book includes ancient entities, dangerous monsters, spells and rules for dread.
A £1 pledge now gets you access to the Pledge Manager, a tactic suggested by BlackVault if you want to be in the project and able to adjust your bid after Christmas.
The hardcover unlocks with a £20 and will ship from the UK in May next year and with the publisher doing their best to estimate what P&P might be then.
