Pinnacle have a great offer out for Halloween; a freebie. The Test Drive Rules are intended to let you test the latest Savage Lands rules for free.
The download contains pre-made characters, power cards and the game’s combat rules.
The weird west Deadlands adventure Blood on the Range is also included. Created by Shane Lacy Hensley, the free adventure is part of The Horror at Headstone Hill campaign.
The goal of the freebie is to get people into Savage Worlds and the popular Deadlands, so you need neither of them to use the Test Drive and run the Blood on the Range adventure.
If you like the sample then the Savage Worlds Adventure Edition (known as SWADE) are available in hardback and PDF from $39.99 from PEG.
You can also get the latest Deadlands edition by using PledgeManager and joining as a “late backer” to the successful crowdfunding campaign. You’ll be a very late backer, but it means discounted shipping, a copy before the shops get the book and even access to the Kickstarter exclusives.
