Oni-Lion Forge has teamed up with Chooseco the company behind the “Choose Your Own Adventure” interactive book series to launch a graphic novel series.
The first title in the series will be Choose Your Own Adventure: Eighth Grade Witch. Players will read as the character Rabbit and encounter a world of nightmares, witches and ghosts. Prudence Deadly, a mysterious witch, mentors Rabbit which results in encounters with spirit ancestors, adventures in graveyards and depending on the decisions made either adventure or disaster.
Melissa Bounty, Associate Publisher at Chooseco, said in a press release;
Bringing the Choose Your Own Adventure gamebook series to graphic novels has been a challenge we’ve pondered for many years—going back to before we even began publishing independently! It took the experience and muscle of Oni-Lion Forge to crack this one, and we are thrilled with the fresh spin they have brought to our classic books.”
Oni-Lion Forge has plenty of experience working with pop culture icons with successful projects with the likes of Aggretsuko, Rick and Morty, and Invader Zim, but this graphic adventure novel will be a first for them.

The Choose Your Own Adventure Graphic Novels will launch in Summer 2021.
