We’ve a new look at Paru Itagaki’s Beastars series 2 which will premiere on Netflix Japan on January the 5th.
After Netflix Japan runs the series, one episode coming every week, Beastars will then run on Fuji TV’s +Ultra. The first season took some months to move from Japan to Netflix’s international channels.
In the first season, we visit a school of humanoid animals that divide up into two main groups; predators and prey. Polite society demands that the two groups live together in harmony, but tensions and primal instinct simmer below the surface.
In the opening act, a prey-born student is attacked, killed and eaten, and we’re left to speculate who might have done it. One suspect is Legoshi, a large wolf, and while it may seem he’s a milksop at first, there does seem to be something stirring inside him.
