As the first pandemic restrictions fell into place around the world, Asmodee started their Print & Play website.
Print & Play was a way to get a board game for free, download it over the internet and play with your household or friends over video chat. The program has been a howling success for Asmodee and is approaching nearly 4,000,000 downloads.
What if you don’t know how to play any Asmodee game? Not even famous ones like Catan, Pandemic, Ticket to Ride or Spot it? The twin challenges of wading through a new rulebook and working out the best way to make Discord play ball, for example, might be overwhelming.
Asmodee’s new program, Connect & Play is designed to help.
Connect & Play is a digital school room, a library, that comes with step-by-step instructions, with a visual slant, and walkthroughs on how to play select board games over Zoom, Google Meet, Skype and others.
Ruby Nikolopoulou, Head of US Marketing, Asmodee USA, said in a press release;
We thought about ways to bring socially distant relatives together, and truly believe that tabletop games are the best social entertainment there is. Connect & Play gives friends and families who can’t physically be together a way to have fun and laugh, a must in these trying times and just in time for many of the upcoming holidays.”
