Coolkyoushinja and Amahara’s Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation will get an anime adaptation that’ll air in Japan for July 2021.
This year, Interspecies Reviewers was an anime-inspired by Amahara manga of the same name that caused a stir. Several platforms bought it, including Western ones, only for the penny to drop that the plot was entirely about friends trying out alien lovers in brothels and rating the sex. It was deemed not suitable and not shown.
There are some hints that Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation might also be on the risque side. Geek Native has chosen not to show one of the posters for the show just in case you’re reading this at work.
In Idaten Deities in the Peaceful Generation humanity was brought to the edge of destruction by the malicious demons. That’s when the gods appeared, entities known as Idaten fought the demons and sealed them away.
That was 800 years ago.
The Idaten now have no fighting experience, and the demons are beginning to break through the seal. A new war between humanity, the demons and gods, is brewing.
Next year, we’re also expecting demon-hunting action from Coolkyoushinja’s Peach Boy Riverside.
