Kal-Zar’s Bane 2 – Mined Games is a collection of 7 one-shot adventures suitable for D&D 5e or OSR games. It’s the seventh project from Steve Thompson, aka the Laidback DM, and each of the one-shots is designed so that it can be dropped into a more extensive campaign.
Steve wanted AU$1,500 to fund the Kickstarter and today, with two weeks still on the clock, that goal is a distant memory with more than AU$3,000 pledged. You can read the pitch or pledge at the campaign page.

The look, feel and presentation of the adventures are a factor in the Kickstarter as the Laidback Dungeon Master has made a Digital Maps Package available. These maps come in various sizes for printing but also for virtual tabletop solutions like Roll20 or Fantasy Grounds so that if you’re playing one of these one-shots over the internet, it looks good for the players as well.

A pledge of AU$10 (that’s about £6) will get your name in the book, access to stretch goals and a PDF Copy of the Mined Games collection.
Or, if you’re just after those virtual tabletop maps, then that’s also $10. There’s a limited license on the cartography which means you can stream your games while using them too.
If you want both, then there’s a discount; $15 for the combo.
Paper fans need to step up to AU$15 for an at-cost print-on-demand coupon for the book or AU$20 for coupons for both. Higher tiers are available.
The expected delivery, irrespective of which tier you pick, for Mined Games is January 2021.
