Steamforged Games’ Bardsung is, well, singing. The Kickstarter took just over an hour to hit it’s £76,000 goal and now, with two weeks left, there’s more than £250,000 pledged.
Luke Gygax, of the D&D Gygax-line, has become the most recent guest writer announced for the project and joins names like Ian Livingstone, Rhianna Pratchett and Sara Thompson on the team. You can join the campaign at the Kickstarter page.
Bardsung is a cooperative dungeon exploring game, drawing heavily on RPG elements, for 1 to 5 players.
There’s only one pledge level; £75 will get you the core game and all the unlocked stretch goals.
Luke Gygax commented;
When I spoke to the Steamforged Games Team about Bardsung it instantly grabbed my attention. I loved playing DUNGEON! with my father as a lad, and I see Bardsung as a descendant in the same tradition. I am excited to be invited to help craft the Legend of the Ancient Forge alongside the creative team assembled by SFG. Make your offerings to Hurna for strength to sustain you and ward yourself against the lifeless children of Dark Daghda, for you will feel their cold clutches…”
Bardsung looks set to join the string of successes Steamforged Games has had recently. They’re the company behind Epic Encounters, Animal Adventures, Critical Role miniatures, Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game and Dark Souls: The Board Game.
