Crit Happens Dice are on Kickstarter with a practical prop for your LARP or D&D play. The sturdy presentation box opens up to reveal alchemy glass jars that contain the right number of d4s for healing potions in D&D and which can be shaken and read without needing to remove the cork.
The campaign asks for £2,000 to secure the materials and has gotten off to a good start, banking more than £500 in the opening days. The top tier has an accompanying Early Bird deal which includes that hand-stained wooden box, is limited in number and so people are pouncing on them while they can. You can read more or pledge at the pitch page.
As noted, it’s only the top tier that comes with the box and full loadout, but the tiers in between are, I think, very cost-effective.
A pledge of £5 will get you one potion of healing keyring, and that’s a little bottle with a “shot of magic” inside complete with a random tassel.
£10 makes that a bundle for which you get one potion of healing keyring and a bundle of four herb vials which are glass jars tied with twine.
Stepping up to £20 means you’ll get two keyring potions and one of the 2d4 potion of healing dice rolling jars.
£30 gets you everything discussed so far; one 2d4 potion of healing roller, one keyring and a herb vial bundle.
At £40 you can expect delivery of one 2d4 dice roller, one 4d4 greater healing dice roller, one 8d4 superior healing roller, one 10d4 supreme healing dice roller and one keyring.
At £50 you get everything in the £40 deal and the hand-stained box as well as a herbalism notes printed notebook. If you’re quick enough, there’s that £50 early bird deal too.
The tier you go for will affect the expected delivery date as these are physical goodies. The small stuff has an eta of February 2021, but the boxes are not estimated until March. You absolutely need to factor in shipping and taxes too.
