Granblue Fantasy is a computer RPG that launched in Japan 2014 before going on to secure a Netflix anime.
In the game, as in the anime, players spend time onboard flying ships and travelling between floating islands.
Protagonists will be chased by the Empire and able to summon powerful creatures to fight for them. In turn, the Empire has secrets it wants to keep hidden.
The D&D 5e conversion is a homebrew effort which can be found on Homebrewery or as a downloadable PDF hosted on Dropbox.
You can also find all the races in the fantasy fully detailed on DNDBeyond as you can see here with the Draph, Erune, Harvin, Crystalia or Souval.
This tabletop RPG version of Granblue Fantasy was put together by Kobayashi89 who maintains a dedicated Twitter account for the project.
While it’s a big homebrew, 60-pages long, expertly presented out and packed with the art that made the computer game so memorable, Kobayashi89 has no concrete plans to develop it further. Adventures with the Skyfarer’s Guide are up to you.
The computer game is a hit with over 25 million downloads by the end of last year, a sequel to the anime made and another one being developed.
