Outland Entertainment has revealed that they will soon launch a Kickstarter for the Tombpunk RPG.
Written by Alan Bahr of Gallant Knight Games, illustrated by Nicolas Giacondino and with two micro-settings from Alana Joli Abbot and Gwen Nix, the RPG will become core rules for future Tombpunk projects.
The Facebook teaser picture, shown above, makes a point of showing a smartphone displaying the game. DriveThruRPG supports epub and their Phone PDF format, but Outland may also have access to other formats.
The Kickstarter notify page is live and describes the RPG as an high-octane, high-action system with a rules-light approach.
Outland acquired the system in August 2020. Jeremy Mohler, Outland’s Founder and Creative Director, said at the time;
Outland Entertainment has been looking for the right rules system to use with our worlds. I’ve known and worked with Alan for a long time, and I’m extremely pleased and excited to be able to use his Tombpunk system to bring our worlds to life. It fits our vision very well.”
It’s Alana Joli Abbott’s Blackguards Anthology from Outland that will first be adapted to the Tombpunk system.
Outland’s website says Tompunk lo-fi roleplaying will be available January 2021.
