The D&D Beyond mobile app is available from Google Play and Apple’s App Store, and it now supports virtual dice.
There are a few ways to get virtual dice as a D&D Beyond customer. You can buy them in the Marketplace, but they’re sometimes available as a pre-order bonus. In fact, you can get a cauldron inspired set with a Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything order until the 4th of January.
If you buy some digital dice but don’t seem them immediately then D&D Beyond has a typical gamer response; kobolds. They note;
If you’ve purchased a set of dice in the Marketplace and they aren’t showing up, wait a few minutes first for your app to update! Our dice kobolds probably encountered some adventurers on the way to bring you your dice—they’ll just be a sec.
Digital dice are enabled by default on D&D Beyond but can be disabled. Open “my dice”, go to settings and then turn the Enable dice switch to off. Surprisingly enough.
The digital toolkit has been adding more features over the years, growing from a digital marketplace for copies of D&D to offering Twitch overlays and options like the dice.
The mobile app was released in July of this year.
