I like the concept of Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki. It’s about Tomozaki, who is one of the best gamers in Japan, and who sucks at life.
You see, I agree with Tomozaki. The rules for inRL don’t make sense, the other characters aren’t logical, success criteria flaky, quests poorly define and all sorts of problems.
Things change for Tomozaki when he meets a gamer as good as him, and she offers to teach him a few real-life exploits.
Sadly, no English subtitles are available for the trailer. It’s still enough to give a good idea of the look and feel for the show (providing it’s not fulling a fast one).
Bottom-Tier Character Tomozaki was published initially as a series of light novels by Gagaga Bunko and then by Yen Press in English.
The romantic comedy is directed by Shinsuke Yanagi and will be broadcast in Japan this coming January.
