Beastars was a big hit for Fuji TV and Netflix. A quick rummage through TikTok can confirm that.
It’s a show about a world made up of anthropological animals and where culture takes a dim view on carnivores eating the prey animals, but it happens in secret anyway.
This sequence is the series 2 opening credits but without the credits. It’s a chance to see the art and animation without the clutter, a tidy version.
The emotional heart of the story is a will-they won’t-they relationship between a dwarf bunny and a lanky wolf. There’s also the unresolved murder of a schoolmate and the worrying disappearance of the head boy after series 1.
The next season will return to Netflix in Japan on the 6th of January, but the rest of the world will have to wait until July.

It includes a rather impressive police officer; a giant snake. I think that might be the first reptile we’ve seen.
