There’s a free demo of James Lennox-Gordon’s lo-fi heist-fantasy 1400 Sneak RPG on Itch.io.
If you like the game, the full product costs $3 (or more, if you want).
It’s a little game, but punchy. The whole system and character generation fit on a single page, and you get that in the demo. What’s in the $3 full game, then? Two more pages of gear, gadgets, poisons and spells as per the theme and setting.
The system is based on the 2400 microgames/toolkit from Jason Tocci, adapting it for fantasy adventure.
Despite only being a side of A4; the rules govern the creation of Assassins, Enforcers, Face, Hawk, Sharpshooter, Tinkerer and Trickster characters.
Typically a d6 is rolled to see whether a PC suffers the risk associated with the action they wanted to take, but these character rolls allow a d8 to be used in some circumstances.
Character advancement also allows players to swap out d6 with d8s, or d8s with d10s and lastly even with a d12 on skills.
