Monte Cook Games’ Cypher System Edge of the Sun is due out in February, but a free to download preview was released today.
Edge of the Sun is a new location for Numenera. As the name suggests; it is the very edge of the sun. Some great engine, built by the Ancients, rests there with strange creatures inside. But why was it made?
Inside the full book, there are stats for those creatures that live on the Engine of the Gods, new cyphers, artefacts and strange vehicles known as Augmechs.
There’s a map generator to help GMs create regions in the planet-sized construction and two complete adventures that introduce the augments or act as a capstone to a Numenera campaign.
Few who dwell in the Ninth World know of the greatest achievement of the ancients, for it rests—imperceptibly, despite its vast size—on the very edge of the sun itself. The prior worlds were mighty beyond conception, but even for them, this Engine is a work of staggering proportion.
