If you’re writing a book that mixes the undead (or perhaps sea monsters) with popular historical figures (fictional or otherwise) then you’re part way to getting a book deal.
Is it a fad? Author Alan Goldsher doesn’t think so. He argues that the “mashup” has lasted long enough to become a sub-genre. It will have a space on bookshelves, he says. I guess we’ll have to see whether there will still be bookshelves in the future or whether the internet will have taken over.
A word of caution! There is swearing in the guerilla readings video. Alan tries so hard to santise the f– word but then drops the c– bomb. Is that a self-censor fail?
Also; it may just be my browser acting up but the syncing on the “Heck yeah!” video seems to out of whack. If that’s the sort of thing that drives you insane then don’t watch (or you’ll go insane!).
P.S. This video cuts off a bit too… just before he tells you how to survive the zombie apocalypse. I’m 63% sure that’s done on purpose.
