A lifetime warranty, 35% off MSRP, free shipping if you’re in the United States of America and a booming tabletop hobby scene has meant many people interested in Game Theory Tables’ first Kickstarter.
The Origins game table transforms from a dining table to a lined and inset playing surface. There are 21 days on the clock at the time of writing, and the $150,000 goal has been thrashed with $540,000+ pledged. You can join in on the campaign page.
Kickstarter has noticed the table too and carries the “Project We Love” mark with pride.
It’s an innovative campaign. Pledge just $1 right now, and you’ll secure a 15% off coupon to use later. Sure, that means you don’t get the full 35% discount, but it means you’ll never have to pay full price.
The tables are being sent out in Waves. Wave 1 is being delivered within the year, this August. However, the table only ships to certain countries. There are about 50% of those 500 slots remaining.
The next wave is still due this year and has the tables arriving in November. If you happen to need three tables, perhaps because you’re a gaming cafe or a reseller, then there’s a tier for you too.
How much does The Origins gaming table cost? It costs $1,499 from the Kickstarter. That means the expected retail price is around the $2,250 mark and you get a saving of $750.
The Kickstarter also gives you access to exclusive add-ons such as a dice tower corner.
