The Kickstarter pitch video for the Silver Anniversary Edition for Everway sells that the roleplaying game was “ahead of its time”. Typically, this is either bragging or frustration that the game didn’t sell as well as hoped, but it feels fair and accurate for Everway.
Everway pioneered innovations in diceless roleplaying and the use of Tarot(like) cards that weren’t revisited by the community again for many years. You can find out more about the game and join the campaign from the project page.
It has been twenty-five years since the release of Jonathan Tweet’s Everway, and now designer Jesse McGatha has brought it to Kickstarter. Tweet headlines the Silver Anniversary team, though, with McGatha and Richard Thames Rowan providing additional design and maps.
Wow. Just wow… This is a fantastic revision! Emphasis upon the “vision.” I was wondering which game to use to introduce our niece to roleplaying and now I know! I’m thrilled about the new tarot-sized Fortune deck, the expansion of the deck with the insightful Seasons cards, and the revised rulebooks that play off the game’s visual strengths. EVERWAY is a great game and it has been remixed by people who love and understand it.

The campaign is to fund a Players book, a Gamemasters book and a deluxe Fortune Deck. All things going well there will be two sets of additional Vision collection cards and other add-ons.
A pledge of $30 (about £22) will get you the expanded 77-card Fortune Deck of cards and a PDF supplement.
The game becomes available at $50 when both the Players and Gamemaster books are available in PDF.
If you only need the Players book and prefer physical to digital, then there’s a $60 tier for you. Both books are available as hardbacks for $120, and the digital copies are provided alongside.
The estimated delivery for the project is August 2021.
