Lenticular prints have the illusion of depth or change as they are viewed from different angles.
Bottleneck Gallery, who have run successful lenticular projects in the past, has teamed up with Vice Press to bring a limited edition of Drew Struzan’s poster illustration of The Thing to life as a lenticular.
Made famous by director John Carpenter, The Thing is a 1980s horror movie based on John W. Campbell Jr’s Who Goes There?, a novella published in 1938. The story is that of a parasitic lifeform discovered in Antarctica, which assimilates and then imitates other organisms as it hunts.
There will be a few versions, all strictly limited in number, and they go on sale at Vice Press on the 25th of February.
