DarkEnergy from Entanglement Interactive is an RPG set during the apocalypse. The game happens as events unfold and as the world is bombarded by spells and monsters.
There’s still three weeks left on the Kickstarter clock, and $4,000, thereabouts, of the $10,000 goal has been raised. You can see the latest figures, or join in, on the pitch page.
The Kickstarter video swiftly gets to what might make DarkEnergy different from other RPGs in your collection. It offers alignment paths, good, neutral and evil and playable curses such as vampirism and werediseases.
The DarkEnergy RPG is set across different worlds, and from these, the game’s races come. There are three different settings as well; fantasy, modern and near future.
There are pantheon/faith bonuses, rune craft rules, cybernetics, henchmen rules, new classes, and DarkEnergy is still a 5e game.
The book needs art, and that’s what the Kickstarter is for and currently weighs in at 325+ pages.
DarkEnergy lets the players be either the Hero of the story, or the Villain, with both good and evil paths available to be explored. There is a unique Faith/Pantheon system with bonuses that allows faith to be rewarded and play more importance than your typical RPG.
A pledge of $25 will secure a PDF copy of the book and all stretch goals.
Stepping up to $75 results in the DarkEnergy hardcover added to the rewards, and $100 adds print copies of the stretch goals.
There are higher tiers, and the expected delivery is in October. The first pledge level, Survivor, which delivers the PDF, says April, but an errata at the bottom of the story clarifies this is an error.
