The book is a companion piece to the 2nd edition, offering new player options, new baddies and ships for the sci-fi and furry-inspired setting.
The Kickstarter for the 2nd edition of HC SVNT DRACONES launched late in 2018, made target and all stretch goals in a single day. It took 5 years of feedback and experience and improved on the first edition.
It’s a transhuman RPG. All that’s left in space are races born from genetic manipulation, sentient AI and astral horror.
The companion book is designed to offer help with combat, including stats for ships and vehicles, with new species to ramp up the game’s cinematic appeal. Expect lots of art.
Mastered is a supremely useful asset for Guides and players alike. While this book is primarily about narrative tools for Guides to use in their stories, it also includes new items and concepts and new player species to use, as well as assets to play toward acquiring. Mastered is a companion to both the HSD core rulebook and the expanded lore book Sound and Silence, and all of them share stories and details with each other. The three books together make up HSD2’s trio of core materials.
