Will The Deck of Many Quests become discussed among GMs as D&D’s The Deck of Many Things is between players?
Lunch Break Heroes have a Kickstarter project to fund a box of 200 cards. That’s enough to generate 200,000 system-agnostic quests. At the time of writing, nearly 1,400 people have backed it, and that’s enough to raise nearly $40,000 for the project.
There’s not long to go, with only 6 days left to join the rush for adhoc adventures.
Geek Native’s managed to get a first look at some of the cards in The Deck of Many Quests. You can find these previews shared below. You can check out other cards elsewhere, such as the Kickstarter page.
The system is straightforward; the cards combine monsters, items with quests to create unique scenarios, and through the power of mathematics, a few hundred cards are enough for many hundreds of thousands of combinations.
A pledge of $5 will get you the digital deck, and you’ll get this in April of 2021.
Stepping up to $20, plus shipping but also with add-ons enabled, you’ll get a single copy of the physical deck. It takes longer to ship physical cards and the estimated delivery for this tier in August of this year.
There are higher pledge levels, which offer more copies of The Deck of Many Quests since you can mix and match the cards.
