Starting on Netflix in June is the anime Record of Ragnarok. The gods are talked out of destroying humanity and into testing the race instead.
If the best of humanity, heroes from throughout time, can win the majority of the fights against the gods’ champions, the race will survive.
Netflix’s latest trailer is a smashup of styles, with action, gurning faces, big boobs and a host of other anime staples.
Since writing about the anime’s approval and showing trailers and teasers so far, Geek Native has received numerous emails from offended religious groups.
Some of these emails are from individuals and spokespeople unhappy with Adam cast as a fighter? Others are not pleased with the representation of a god. There have been calls for WarnerMedia and Networks Group CEO to suspend the show before it airs or, at least, look into these issues.
Geek Native is without influence at Netflix or at WarnerMedia. If you are offended by gods taking on humans as entertainment, then I support your freedom to write protest letters without hate and encourage conversation, but I cannot recommend trying to recruit the blog to your cause.
