There’s a good cause RPG bundle on Itch.io right now, and for the next 24 days, in which you can get $90+ worth of RPGs for $10.
Why? The bundle is raising money for Tiago Rolim, an RPG designer best known for the OSR inspired game NUMA. NUMA is about samurai frogs fighting for revenge.
Tiago is fighting himself. He’s caught and been hospitalised with COVID-19, and Dicebreaker reports that medical insurance is refusing to cover the costs.
The “Help Tiago Rolim fight COVID-19!” bundle hoped to raise $6,000 and has currently taken in more than $9,000.
The games on offer are attractive not just because of the costs but also because it is being organised by Latin American RPG designers. Many of the games on offer are not games a Geek Native reader might already have in their collection.
Some of the titles on offer include Guilherme Gontijo’s The Tusu’s Mine, Fountains of the Beast and The City Where the Colors, Roll 4 Tarrasque’s The Frozen Province, Bakto’s Terrifying Cuisine and Mirror, Mirror as well as Lucas Rolim’s Pacts & Blades.
The bundle page explains that each day on ICU costs the family US$1051, and that’s a bill they can’t afford.
