The JoJo legacy continues as the 6th part of the manga has an anime in production.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean picks up about 10 years after the events in Golden Wind, and it follows Jotaro Kujo’s daughter, Jolyne Cujoh.
In the manga, the story is primarily set in prison after Jolyne is framed for a crime she did not commit.
It’s likely that the popular series will be picked up for streaming and probably by Crunchyroll who have the first five parts. Netflix, however, landed the spin-off Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. Netflix aired Kishibe Rohan even though the character had not yet been introduced in the arcs Netflix had shown.
Geek Native’s Irregular Reconnaissance has been mixed on the series, wincing at times at the show’s treatment of female characters. It’ll be interesting to see what a modern adaptation with a female lead character is like.
