Mind’s Eye Theatre has been around since 1993 and is the ruleset and system by which Vampire and other WoD franchise fans can live-action roleplay some of their favourite characters.
The live-action roleplay ruleset is avaialble at vamp.bynightstudios.com for free. However, the studio, with new management, ran a crowdfunding program to signficantly expand on those with a “Volume 2”.
In a blog post, the company noted;
Where previous expansion material focused on younger vampires like the Neonates and Ancillae, Volume 2 of Vampire: The Masquerade continues in that vein while expanding the Live Action Roleplaying system for Elder vampires. Elders now have a variety of new powers to choose from; powerful abilities usable only by those with especially potent blood. In addition, Luminary Elder Vampires — mysterious ancients whose lifespans measure in the centuries — gain access to Luminary Elder Disciplines. These terrifying new powers represent the ultimate mastery of vampire disciplines. However, a Luminary can only master one such power and, therefore, must choose carefully.
By Night Studios have Paradox’s permission to do all of this and use the World of Darkness but volume 2 of the LARP and edition 5 of Vampire are different. The LARP has no impact on the V5 canon.
The backer program is over but, and by demand, it is possible to buy Volume 2 of Vampire: The Masquerade in PDF and softcover. It won’t be possible to buy these books from the Storytellers Vault, the site where third-party World of Darkness is typically available.
