Zack Snyder has a large cast of stars, including Dave Bautista, Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Ana de la Reguera and Theo Rossi, in Army of the Dead.
As the trailer suggests, this could be the ultimate in Vegas heists that go wrong films.
So, is this a Netflix film or a cinema film? Army of the Dead plans to be both. It’ll premiere in cinemas in the States on May 14th, and then, only a week later, it’ll be on Netflix.
Given how well-armed these robbers are and the epic destruction of Las Vegas, it may well be a film that suits the big screen.
That $200 million the team gets it hands on has value, despite all those zombies. Zombies have been around for a while. Bautista’s character is a zombie war hero. The timing is all about getting into the vault before the US drops a nuke on the city… and then surviving to get out again.
It looks as if these intelligent, fast, and worryingly organised zombies aren’t in the plan.
Snyder co-wrote the piece with John Wick 3: Parabellum’s Shay Hatten.
