Netflix will unleash the horrors of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness in July.
Eiichiro Hasumi will cut his teeth on CG anime for the projection, following his live-action adaptations of Assassination Classroom and Umizaru.
The show is set in 2006. Initially, Leon Kennedy is sent to investigate a hacking incident at the White House. That investigation takes a dramatic turn as the presidential building is then targeted by a strange zombie attack.
The trailer shows scenes that occur later when he encounters Claire Redfield, who’s working on constructing a welfare facility and who has a drawing from a child that seems connected to the zombies.
Tokyopop is producing a “manga-style” graphic novel that’s expected to be released about the same time as the anime goes live on Netflix.
