Just last week, Bandit Camp’s Forged in the Dark RPG Wicked Ones became a free download.
That’s hundreds of pages of rules, all designed to let you play as one of the baddies. You’re trying to build your dungeon, stock it and defend it. You’re trying to follow orders from the master, and those annoying heroes keep invading.
And now you can try that all single-handed.
Parts Per Million’s Peter Rudin-Burgess, a designer with plenty of solo rules game design experience, has written Wickedly Solo.
Wickedly Solo, as the name suggests, is a set of solo rules for Wicked Ones. It contains rules for setting up the dungeon and playing as all of the denizens inside, switching in your main PC when appropriate and controlling the others with fortune rolls.
Wicked Ones’ original and talented artist, Victor Costa, has also created a new set of dungeon imps found within the 10-page supplement.
Wickedly Solo joins the Toolkit Deck as a worthy supplement for the game.
