It’s a soft launch, meaning there could be all sort of bugs and quirks, but the Bundle of Holding’s Starter Store is live.
The Bundle of Holding typically puts a time limit to secure several RPG downloads at a discount. If you’re quick, you get a second more expensive bundle of extras cheaply too. The cost of that bonus bundle tends to edge up in time.
The Starter Store is different. It’s a set price and no time limit. The catch is in the name. This isn’t a standard eCommerce experience; you only get starter packs here.
I suppose the combination makes sense. If I was looking for a brand new RPG to start, I’d turn to the Bundle of Holding, knowing that I’d likely get a core rulebook at a lower cost than usual. The Starter Store gives me another option.
The starter packs currently available are;
- Traveller LBBs
- Champions 4E
- Night’s Black Agents
- Tekumel
- Trail of Cthulhu
- Shadow of the Demon Lord
- Old School Essentials
- Tiny Dungeon
