Q-Workshop has sets of official The Witcher gaming dice on Kickstarter. The sets are called “hybrid dice” because they’re made from two different materials.
The Polish company asked the community for €50,000 to fund the project. With 20-days on the clock, there are more than €160,000 in pledges. You can view the latest figures, or pledge, on the project page.
There are different hybrids in the campaign; one is metal and wood, the other metal or plastic with composite. Backers pick their combinations and designs.
All the tiers in this campaign are limited. The entire Kickstarter could, in theory, sell out. There are still hundreds of spaces left on some tiers in practice, but a few have sold out.
As the campaign is already successful, we can see that freebies like “dice on board” car stickers and a wooden dice laptop sticker have been unlocked.
A pledge of €24 (about £21) will get you a plastic base dice poker set (that’s 5d6), and they can only have composite inserts.
Alternatively, €27 gets you 2d10 and 4d6, which suits The Witcher tabletop RPG. €29 gets you the standard 7 gaming dice.
The metal dice start with a pledge of €66 for the poker set, then €75 for the Witcher RPG dice and €83 for the complete set of metal RPG dice.
A Kickstarter exclusive is the Expert Dice Poker Set with a limited edition wood dice trace which will cost €349. These are about to sell out.
