Yum / DM has launched d8 as a new free and monthly D&D zine.
The Queensland based publisher will use Patreon to support the project.
You can download Issue One directly (PDF link).
Each issue will have a theme, and, appropriately enough, issue one is themed “Dungeons”. It sports a cover by Dean Spencer.
The zine begins with a d8 dungeon generator, then talks about levelling up your encounters.
Russ, the writer of Yum / DM, is accepting letters to the editor, and so if you have content or thoughts you wish to feature, you can write in.
The podcast Tales of the Manticore collaborates on a random encounter table in another section, suggesting things that characters might find in an underground temple, and a later feature includes tables for building a quick NPC.
Issue 2 is expected out in June and seems to be themed around “Death”.
