R. Talsorian Games today posted free DLC for the tabletop Cyberpunk RED RPG.
Hardened Mooks are optional rules to let GMs toughen up the low-level baddies as appropriate for groups optimised for combat.
There are four levels of baddies in a typical Cyberpunk RED game;
- Mooks
- Lieutenants
- Mini-Boss
- Boss
Mooks are right at the bottom of the pecking order, and in a typically balanced game, you’d have one mook in the fight for every PC. That’s not the case if your PCs are kick-ass hard, as some PCs are prone to being.
The 5-page download, written by James Hutt, edited and layout by J Gay and with a cover by Sebastian Szmyd, begins with a mook encounter complication table. You know; perhaps they have incendiary ammo!
Next are stat cards for a hardened bodyguard, one for a boosterganger, road ganger and a security operative. The final page contains some blank cards of the same design.
