Star Trek Adventures: Disasters is a generous 13-paged long and free supplement. It’s written by Tilly Bridges and Susan Bridges and contains ten mission briefs suitable for The Next Generation era.
Space, it’s a dangerous place. All sorts of things can go wrong even with the Federation’s careful training at Starfleet’s thorough training.
The ten mission briefs presented entirely without illustration, but all in the surprisingly effective Star Trek font and layout follow a similar pattern.
Each mission has a title and a suggested era of play. In this case, that’s The Next Generation (circa 2360 to 2379). As with so many Star Trek episodes, each mission tends to put a character in the spotlight, and the writers just tell you who that is likely to be.
Then, there’s a synopsis, an opening log entry to set the scene and major beats and minor beats to set the stage for each. We’re given an intro on the key NPCs and a likely conclusion.
Lastly, there are tips on how to include the mission in your campaign.
Star Trek Adventures uses 2d20, and the free Disasters download feels like a no-brainer.
