Midas is a King from Greek mythology who was cursed so that anything he touched turns into gold. The witch in this anime doesn’t mess around; she simply curses Bocchan so that anyone he touches dies.
The Duke of Death and His Maid is a love story, of sorts, between Bocchan and the maid who likes to tease him.
The TV show is an adaptation of the rom-com manga, which is being made by J.C. Staff and due out in Japan in July.
Here’s how the story is described;
A nobleman named Bocchan–. When he was a child, he was cursed by a witch with a curse that would make everything he touched die. The curse causes him to be rejected by those around him, and he has spent his days alone in a large mansion deep in the forest. The maid who serves him is Alice. But Alice’s presence is the source of his biggest worry because she routinely sexually harasses him…! Alice is always seducing Bocchan as close as she can get. Bocchan loves her but is not even allowed to hold her hand. Will their pure love really bear fruit…?
There’s no news yet as to whether a streaming platform will pick the series up.
