Leshys are nature guardians and protectors from Slavic mythology. In games, they’re often represented as plant-based creatures. Imagine the sort of thing a druid might create by imbuing a primal spirit with a related plant.
Matt Cavanaugh’s first Kickstarter asks for $8,000 to bring a Leshy-centric bestiary to life, and with 24-days on the clock, that goal is in reach as we approach the $6,000 mark. You can join in from the pitch page.
The Botanical Bestiary will have stats for D&D 5e, and a variant will have one for Pathfinder 2e; both include 50 forms of Leshy. Each Leshy is illustrated and comes with tidbits about it. The little creatures are illustrated by Sita Duncan.
Sadly, there’s no outside America shipping for print, but there will be print-on-demand options.
Those pledges begin at $15 for the PDF, which includes digital-only stretch goals. If you want both 5e and Pathfinder, then get both variants for $20.
There are still some early bird options ($20) for the softcover, but they are generally unlocked with a $25 pledge and are restricted to the US.
A combo deal of both the softcover, the same shipping restrictions, and one PDF unlocks at $30. At $40, that upgrades to a hardcover.
The estimated delivery, for digital and physical, is June 2022.
