Geek Native’s Patreon isn’t to pay the bills. That would be nice, but it’s not. Instead, I made the promise to put any money raised back into the tabletop community by paying for articles, essays, artists and similar activities.
The first example of this is a piece commission from Lucas Silva, a talented Brazilian artist.
#SelfPromoteSaturday
On Twitter you may see the hashtag #SelfPromoteSaturday.
It’s used to help build a community and boost discovery. Creators can add their work to #SelfPromoteSaturday threads, like and retweet it. We can all retweet them. As a result, we discover what projects are underway, who is taking commissions and what talent is out there.
Geek Native will join in on the first Saturday of every month and use Lucas’ excellent illustration as the image.
Why? To get the ball rolling, keep it moving and represent the RPG bloggers in this space.
Saturday merch
If you’re especially fond of the image, then, good news, it’s available on a wide range of Redbubble Merch.
I think it makes a great hardcover journal cover, a good jigsaw and an exceptionally fine and appropriate laptop sleeve.
Any cash from these sales will go to paying hosting and technology costs!
