Honey Heist is an appropriately famous and popular one-page RPG from Grant Howitt.
In Honey Heist, you are a bear planning a heist, and the RPG wonderfully gives characters two stats: Bear and Criminal.
In On the Path by Cat Elm, you are a monster slayer. The game, which is part of the TTRPG charity bundle for Trans support, is heavily inspired by Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher.
Have you seen Netflix’s The Witcher? Your monster hunter in On The Path has two stats; HMM and Fuck.
Perfection.
On page one of On the Path, players get information about their faithful horse and build a character. The rules for names use different meme-like approaches. For example, the last three letters of your name and the first two letters of the last thing you drank. I would be Rewir because I’ve been drinking Irn-Bru.
On page two, after seeing the basic RPG system, On The Path helps GMs create a story in which evil is afoot and claiming innocent lives. A few dice rolls let me up with a sleepy little hamlet from which a scribble noted reached me to warn of a lost monster.
