Working with Amazon and filing a case together, it is reported and shown in Court filings that the two companies have named Crazy Leaf and Gig Trading Inc. It’s alleged that they were trying to sell counterfeit copies of Dixit: Daydreams via the Amazon marketplace.
Toy News reports one customer describing their purchase;
…horrible, DULL artwork. T[h]ese are nothing like the original cards. Certainly nothing to daydream about.”
Amazon has refunded the customers involved and closed the sellers’ accounts. Kebharu Smith, director of counterfeit crimes unit at Amazon, said;
If a counterfeiter attempts to take advantage of our customers or partners like Asmodee, our Counterfeit Crimes Unit will hold them accountable through civil litigation or criminal referral to law enforcement”
