R. Talsorian Games and Loke Battle Mats have revealed a new range of Cyberpunk Red battle mats.
Cyberpunk Red is a tabletop RPG set between Cyberpunk 2020 and the computer game sequel Cyberpunk 2047. The maps provide a backdrop to this dark future with derelict container dumps and shantytowns also futuristic street cafes and corporate lobbies.
Loke, the UK-based designers and publishers of Battle Mats, have cyberpunk designs already, but the new range has R. Talsorian’s approval. In fact, the deal officially recognises a previously unknown connection.
Mike Pondsmith, the creator of Cyberpunk RED, explains;
We used the Big Book of Cyberpunk Battle Mats when we were designing Cyberpunk RED, so when it came time to partner up with someone for official maps, there was no question who we’d turn to. Loke Battle Mats are a perfect way to visualize any game set in the Dark Future.”
Loke’s battle mats are designed so that the books can lay flat and tabletop miniatures used directly on top of them and typically come in “Big Book” and “Giant Book” ranges.
Founded in 2016, Loke won awards for its designs and products. Co-owner Matt Henderson noted;
I have been a great admirer of R. Talsorian Games for many years, and I have trodden the streets of Night City many, many times. I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with an organisation whose games have shaped my own experience as a GM and player over the years.”
The Cyberpunk RED mats will be available at your local gaming store and online.
