Cubicle 7 has announced a Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay card game. The publisher has a roleplaying license. Even C7’s website talks about Warhammer in the context of it being a roleplaying game, so the card game Elector Counts is a bit of a welcome surprise.
It’s not Cubicle 7’s first board game, though. There is a Doctor Who card game and a free to download, print and play game called TugBoats.
Elector Counts is a card game for 2 to 4 players and is about vying for control of the Empire. The old Emperor is dead, the successor to be decided, and civil strife is rampant. The time to take control is now.
The box contains 112 cards, tokens and some player aids. Cubicle 7 suggests the style of the game mimics that of card games played in taverns and inns by ruffians and adventures in the Old World.
The pre-order page says that physical copies will be sent in Q4 2021. If you want the game before Christmas, that may be your best route, as the announcement says the game will be in stores around December 2021/January 2021.
