Frustratingly, it’s free to listen to Neil Gaiman’s The Sandman on Audible in the United States.
That’s a frustration because, here in the UK, the very same Audible content costs £28.08.
At least, that’s how much it would cost me, as Audible uses dynamic prices. It’s also only one credit, and given the wealth of talent in the audiobook, it feels like a good buy regardless.
Those in the States have until 22nd October to listen in, then the freebie vanishes.
This is a listener’s discretion advised story. There is violence and strong sexual themes. James McAvoy voices the Dream Lord Morpheus in a world of dark characters.
Sandman II is coming with a partnership with DC Comics. If you need to sign up to Audible via Premium Plus, it’s free, and that’ll then cost you $14.95 a month.
I can’t find a pre-order page for the UK. It’s due out September II.
James McAvoy returns as Dream, Kat Dennings as Death, Michael Sheen as Lucifer, Andy Serkis as Matthew the Raven and Gaiman is the creative director. That’s impressive.
Other credits are;
- Jeffrey Wright as Destiny,
- Regé-Jean Page as Orpheus,
- Brian Cox as Augustus,
- Emma Corrin as Thessaly,
- John Lithgow as Emperor Joshua Norton,
- David Tennant as Loki,
