I’ve noticed the rise of neoprene battle mats on Kickstarter and am tempted. A single large sheet that protects the tabletop and looks great. I’ve just been hesitant because of the costs, especially with international shipping out of the States.
Jessa Blackthrone’s WizKisd show has revealed that this premiere tabletop accessories company had noticed the same thing. There’s a new range of D&D battle mats coming.
WizKids don’t use the word “Neoprene” on their product page, just high-quality materials, but do confirm that these mats are 3′ by 5′ (and with 1″ grid lines). They cost $60, but that means free shipping for customers in the USA.

Jessa was able to show some model-enhanced examples of just how handy the large area is. In one, the tundra mat lifts up to also be a backdrop like an approaching blizzard wall.
