Verdant Isles: Teatime Adventures pays extra special attention to inclusion and diversity, as evident in the video pitch and the fact that a screen-reader version of the Kickstarter story is available.
Geek Native was also able to speak to some of the team ahead of the campaign launch. Grace Collins, Snowbright’s CEO, was once the US Department of Education games and education policy lead, and the game introduces a new, optional, physical spellcasting mechanic for D&D.
Teatime Adventures is a series of three one shot adventures, each able to fill between one and four teatime sessions. These cozy adventures are set in the fully realized LGBTQ+ and disability friendly town of Oakenbend. Filled with adventures featuring rich narrative gameplay mechanics that allow players to explore mysteries, relationships, and meaning.
It’s a pledge of $25 to get the complete digital set; that includes Teatime Adventures, the Harmony Spellcasting print and play in PDF and the setting highlights. The latter is available separately for $1.
The next Hoptop hop-up is $50, which adds the hardcover to the rewards, with shipping and taxes to be worked up later.
Backers are going for the $250 tier. That adds custom dice, poster, GM screen, Harmony tokens, player mats, spellcards and tea.
There are higher tiers, including a hardboiled retailer level that has 10 copies of the game and some much more expensive levels that include some beautiful original art.
