By accident or by design, the Google Mini’s compact disc shape makes it perfect for home-modding. There’s a booming business of 3d-printed sculpts to transform the device into something else. Mine has become a tortoise’s shell.
StraightOuttaPrints has other plans of a Pokemon variety. Snorlax shaped plans, in fact, which may be entirely inappropriate if the primary purpose of your Google Mini is to be an alarm that wakes you up.
The handmade 3-printed (which is nearly an oxymoron, but I know what StraightOuttaPrints mean) and available in a range of colours (and glowing is a colour), the Snorlax Google Home Stands are fairly inexpensive at under $20 bucks.
They’re a best seller on Etsy and rate well.
The boutique also offers this Super Mario Chomper stand which looks cool but won’t let you easily tap the device and the familiar design of Totoro stands.
