The official D&D Adventurers League series Ravenloft: Mist Hunters launched this week.
The Adventurers League is Wizards of the Coast’s organised play system, bringing gamers together, advancing characters and exploring fantasy worlds. In this case, the season is in the horror setting of Ravenloft. Dark themes are expected.
The first adventure is The Grand Masquerade. In it, Alanik Ray invites characters to help search for a missing scholar and to attend the Grand Masquerade at the city of Port-a-Lucine to do so.
The scenario suits first-level characters and lasts about four hours. The dark content here includes but isn’t limited to possession, gaslighting, abduction and death.
The second adventure is The Final Curtain which is tailored for characters who are now third level.
In this part of Mist Hunters, characters are asked to make their way to the strange village of Emherst. Once there, they’ll soon be caught up in a murder mystery with gore, mutilation and other horrors to face.
