Do you have a dice that’s shaped like a Christmas tree? Or a miniature Christmas tree that spins like a dice?
Me neither, but I’m tempted by Mark Franzen and Hymgho’s Kickstarter, and over 750 gamers have gone for the project. It’s funded! You can see the details or join in the festive fun on the project page.
Kickstarter exclusive pricing is on offer, which means Franzen is eying or hoping for a retail release later.
D4, d6, d8, d10, D%, D12, and D20 options are all on offer. The Christmas Trees do say “Merry Christmas ^ Happy New Year” but don’t mention a year, so you can use them again.
The estimated delivery is November 2021. I usually leave that date to last, but it feels extra crucial for this project.
Each tree is over 4″ and weighs about 3/4 of a pound. I’m not sure if that’s large enough to be an actual replacement for a Christmas tree, but it’ll do me and will fit on the table.
Add ons include spinning tops, hollow snowflake dice and limited edition Christmas dice.
Initial colours are red, gold, green, silver and gold. The project will add more colours as people pledge as stretch goals.
It’s a pledge of $65 to get the tree dice set or two for $120. Shipping will be added later.
There are higher tiers for people who want more sets, and people are even buying these spinning Christmas trees in packs of 10.
