Nightfall Games are looking to bolster their stable of SLA Industries books with two more through Kickstarter. The campaign has already been funded, and so the dangers of Threat Analysis 1: Collateral and the options of Species Guide 1: Shaktar/Wraithen are on the way.
The pitch video, I think, does a great job of illustrating what a typical scenario in the gothic sci-fi horror, or splatterpunk as Nightfall argue, would be like. You’re agents sent in after a serial killer. And you can join the 500+ backers in that grim future on Kickstarter.
SLA Industries is the megacorp of the conspiracy future, a dark and rainy world in which the public is distracted from their mundane horror by reality horror on TV.
The 192 pages of Threat Analysis 1: Collateral has those enemies and threats, plus potential allies, ready for the game’s second edition. Now, due to stretch goals being met, the Aethernaut character class.
The smaller book, 80 pages, for two popular PC species, the Shaktar and Wraithen give new skills, weapons and hardware. It’s not possible to back Threat Analysis without also getting Species Guide 1: Shaktar/Wraithen.
There’s a Quickstart for the core rules available for free.
The ENnie award winning SLA Industries (pronounced “Slay Industries”) is a horror noir science-fiction setting set in a dystopian reality in which the majority of the known universe is either owned or indirectly controlled by the eponymous corporation SLA Industries. The game incorporates themes from the cyberpunk, gothic horror and conspiracy genres, and has always been praised on the quality of writing and art. SLA Industries is considered one of the first and best examples of the Splatterpunk genre in RPGs.
