Hands up, I’ll admit it. I’ve not played Animal Crossing, I don’t have a Switch, and I’m not sure I have the time to use one.
Therefore, my view on Animal Crossing as a game you pick up when it’s raining, and you’re trapped inside when you’re relaxing lazily on the sofa, or just feel like chatting to someone, comes to me second hand.
But let me know. Is this wrong? Is Animal Crossing a workout and keep fit brand?
I got the Monopoly x Animal Crossing because Monopoly needs to produce versions of itself at a rate of one a month or run out of air.
I also got the Uniqlo x Animal Crossing because there is a vibe to the game. That chillax vibe.
And, while I don’t get it, Puma is more than welcome to do Animal Crossing too. It certainly sparked an interest.
The tweet which puts the Puma logo over the New Horizon’s Animal Crossing welcome sign is all the sports company has said.
But images are out, thanks to all the trainer investigators and fans out there.
There will be the expected trainers, and they’re certainly not go-faster red or hardcore professional black. They have got that rustic chill tones I’d expect, and want, from Animal Crossing.
Also on the way is at least one shirt and a hoodie. That hoodie is far more my thing and perhaps what I’d want from Animal Crossing. It looks what you’d wear on a rainy day when you’re trapped inside when you’re sprawling on the sofa and playing games or chatting with friends.
You can keep an eye on the Puma Collections page for when the Animal Crossing options appear. That same page suggests that the crossover fashion is likely to cost at least £50 and £100 for the shoes.
